Stefano Bressani at the MAUTO in Turin: art and sustainability on display

6 September 2014 @ 8:00 - 5 October 2014 @ 17:00

Stefano Bressani MAUTO

Solo exhibition at the National Automobile Museum of Turin: a dialogue between art and engines

From September 6 to October 5, 2014, the MAUTO in Turin hosted a solo exhibition by Stefano Bressani, an artist known for creating Sculture Vestite, an original artistic language combining aesthetics and creative reuse.

Curated by Carlotta Canton, artistic director of the Davico Arte Gallery, the exhibition is part of MAUTO’s museum path, renowned for its focus on design, innovation, and contemporary culture.

Stefano Bressani MAUTO

The Sculture Vestite: art born from fabric

Stefano Bressani is a self-taught artist who developed a unique technique: deconstructing forms and reconstructing them using fabrics and textiles. The result is a three-dimensional, soft, vibrant work, full of meaning and depth.

Art and sustainability

His works are not only visually captivating but also carry an ethical message: Bressani uses recycled fabrics, promoting creative reuse and environmental sustainability. His sculptures thus become symbols for reflection on resource use and human impact on the planet.

The MAUTO exhibition: an immersive experience

The exhibition presents a selection of works that trace the artist’s stylistic and conceptual evolution. Within the museum path, the sculptures interact with MAUTO’s technological and historical content, creating a continuous dialogue between art, design, and engineering.

Video projection and creative process

To further enrich the visitor experience, a video projection curated by Marco Sanna documents the creation phases of the works in the artist’s studio, offering an authentic behind-the-scenes look at his practice.

A journey through art and engines

Bressani is no stranger to the automotive world: he has collaborated with the Piaggio Foundation in Pontedera and participated in the itinerant exhibition Contemporary Art Meeting 500, dedicated to the Fiat 500 myth. His works have also been displayed at international events, including the Venice Biennale.

Conclusion

The MAUTO exhibition represents a significant step in Stefano Bressani’s artistic journey, bringing art, innovation, and environmental awareness to a dynamic and experimental context. His Sculture Vestite offer the public a profound visual and cultural experience, capable of inspiring reflection and contemplation.
