Stefano Bressani’s Bucolic Fantasy pays homage to the beauty of nature through abstract works, vibrant with shapes and colors. Inspired by the fantastic world of Avatar and the magic of Cirque du Soleil, Bressani created Maliumbas ©, a tribute to imagination and nature that comes to life in his “Planet of Fabrics.” Each work transports the viewer on a sensory journey, evoking profound emotions through the unique forms and vivid hues of his SKULTOFLOWER©, a distinctive hallmark of the Maestro.

Bressani’s Bucolic Imagination takes shape in many of his abstract Works, paying homage to the beauty of nature, to its imperfect yet unique forms, and to its diversity of shapes and colors.
It all began by chance while watching the film Avatar, James Cameron’s blockbuster released in Italy in 2010, which left an indelible mark on the Artist’s sensibility through the shapes and colors of a fantastic, invented world. Imprinted in his memory, these visions eventually became an Artwork, now part of a private Italian collection.
A few years earlier, in Mexico, Bressani met Cirque du Soleil performer Alexander Dobrynin, who had just appeared in the show Alegria, where he floated suspended in the air with his silken straps. The song Malioumba, sung by Francesca Gagnon, completed the alchemy, sparking a flame that would ignite in Bressani’s soul only a few years later.
Maliumbas © is the result of these experiences, long dormant within him, which then blossomed into an explicit homage to the world-famous Canadian circus performance and to the exploratory beauty of an alien universe—guiding Bressani across distances toward the creation of his own Planet of Fabrics.
Today, his Works pay tribute to the essence of nature through an explosion of forms, colors, sounds, and echoes—born from the vibrations of the earth and expanding upward to the sky, the home of infinity.
Each time, Bressani’s mission is to transport the viewer into his sensations, through the artistry of his hands. In this way, he conveys profound meanings, such as awakening pure emotions through the vibrations that resonate in the body when standing before one of his Works.
Maliumbas © is the living expression of nature, and each SKULTOFLOWER © is the vehicle through which this imagination—now a hallmark—travels from the Maestro to the public, captivating them within the soft volumes of his enchanting colors.
