A solo exhibition in the artist\u2019s hometown<\/h2>\n

In June 2012, the Palazzo delle Arti Contemporanee del Broletto<\/a> <\/strong>in Pavia hosted Thinking Pop<\/em>, a solo exhibition by Stefano Bressani <\/strong>that marked a moment of particular recognition in the artist\u2019s hometown. With 38 works on display<\/strong>, the exhibition combined the unmistakable style of his Sculture Vestite<\/em> with the aim of linking contemporary art<\/strong> and local heritage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A historic building in the heart of Lombardy<\/h3>\n

The Broletto of Pavia<\/strong>, home to the exhibition, is full of history and atmosphere. Built in the 12th century, with Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance elements, it is the oldest broletto in Lombardy.<\/p>\n

Today, it hosts temporary exhibitions promoted by the Municipality of Pavia<\/strong>, with a focus on contemporary art and dialogue between emerging and established artists.<\/p>\n

Thinking Pop: a manifesto exhibition<\/h2>\n

In this context, Thinking Pop<\/em> revealed itself as a manifesto exhibition<\/strong>. The project, conceived to be itinerant, started in Pavia with the intention of creating a bridge between Bressani\u2019s artistic vision<\/strong> and the cultural fabric of host cities.<\/p>\n

The works on display span the first phase of his career, from pop-world icons<\/strong> \u2013 cinematic tributes, famous faces, and archetypal figures \u2013 to a homage to the Duomo of Pavia<\/strong>, Italy\u2019s third-largest dome, interpreted through deconstructed architectural forms<\/strong> and three-dimensional fabrics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the end of the exhibition path, an ambient sound installation accompanies Maliumbas\u00a9<\/a><\/strong><\/strong>, a work dedicated to nature and sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here, Bressani\u2019s language extends to themes of ecology<\/strong> and recycling<\/strong>, making his art not only an aesthetic object but also a tool for reflection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the opening press conference<\/strong>, alongside the artist, were Mayor Alessandro Cattaneo<\/strong>, Cultural Assessor Gian Marco Centinaio<\/strong>, and art critic Mauro Di Vito<\/strong> from the University of Pisa, who offered a historical-artistic reading of Bressani\u2019s work<\/a>.<\/p>\n
