Originally from the province of Pavia\, Bressani has built a career that transcends national borders\, bringing his art to galleries\, museums\, and private collections worldwide. Yet\, despite the international reach of his work\, the Maestro has never forgotten his roots\, maintaining a cultural vision always linked to his homeland.  \nOver the years\, the artist has played a decisive role in Vigevano’s cultural life\, participating in and enhancing highly significant events. Among these\, his role as godfather of the Family Run in 2015 stands out\, an event where Bressani acted as ambassador of social and community values. In the same year\, the Maestro brought his art to the Second Stables of the Visconti Castle with the Skultoshoes exhibition — a tribute to Vigevano’s shoemaking tradition\, in collaboration with the renowned brand Moreschi\, including one of his shoes in the permanent collection of the Museo della Calzatura Pietro Bertolini.   \nAlso notable is the exhibition of his “Sculture Vestite” which in 2013 animated the underground spaces of the city\, captivating the public and receiving the patronage of the Municipality of Vigevano. All these events have become fundamental milestones in the cultural history of the territory\, demonstrating the strong bond Bressani has always maintained with his city and province.  \n \nStefano Bressani returns to Vigevano\nIn 2025\, ten years after his official debut in Vigevano\, Stefano Bressani returns to the city with a new project that marks a radical turning point in his career. With Kuoridistoffa\, the artist takes a further step toward transforming art into a tool for social and environmental reflection. The theme of sustainability\, long at the center of his work\, is approached with innovative vision\, leading the artist to a critical analysis of consumerism and fast fashion. His works\, created using recycled fabrics and reclaimed materials\, act as both a visual critique and a positive statement\, turning objects destined for a short life cycle into timeless artworks.    \nThe Kuoridistoffa project is not only a reflection on environmental issues but also a provocation about the meaning of love in contemporary life\, in an era where the speed of communication and digital hyperconnectivity seem to dissolve deep connections between people and the world around them. Through his works\, Bressani invites young people — and the wider public — to reflect on the true meaning of love\, not only in human relationships but also toward passions\, culture\, and the nature surrounding us.  \nWith the Ex Voto Pop series\, the Maestro creates an intriguing fusion of sacred and profane\, where religious ex-voto iconography is reinterpreted in a contemporary key.  \nThese works find space in a variety of contexts\, from sacred church altars\, blessed by prominent bishops and becoming part of permanent private collections\, to exclusive venues such as Samsara in Riccione\, a symbol of the Romagna Riviera. Bressani\, through his commitment to the charitable association Portatori Sani di Sorrisi\, once again demonstrates his sensitivity to social causes\, making art a tool for solidarity and change.  \nEvent at Auditorium San Dionigi Vigevano\nThis year’s event\, held at the Auditorium of San Dionigi in Vigevano\, represents an extraordinary showcase for the artist. The exhibition\, organized under the management of the Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano\, will feature an exclusive display of 28 Kuoridistoffa works\, including creations destined for prestigious collections such as the permanent collection of Montecitorio and a piece for Pope Leo XIV. The latter\, in particular\, is part of a journey celebrating the Unification of Italy — a theme Bressani interprets with elegance and depth\, highlighting his unmistakable style.   \nThe year also marks another important milestone for the Pavia-born artist: his graphic work\, created specifically for the Stati Generali del Riso Italiano\, represents the symbolic event celebrating the 80th anniversary of Carnaroli rice\, an emblem of Italian gastronomic excellence. The creation\, depicting a deconstructed corn cob crossed by the three rivers of Lomellina\, becomes a symbol of life\, fertility\, and love for the land. The museum\, located in the Sforza Castle\, is a landmark in the history of Italian and international footwear. \nThe MIC: history of shoes and great fashion names\nFounded in the 1950s\, the MIC “Pietro Bertolini” houses unique pieces belonging to historical figures and creations by Ferragamo\, Dior\, Armani\, Lagerfeld\, and Louis Vuitton. The collection traces the technical\, aesthetic\, and cultural evolution of footwear over time. \nA contemporary work in the permanent collection\nBressani’s entry into the museum came with a women’s shoe designed in collaboration with designer Silvia Fabiani. Inspired by the Monaca di Monza\, the work explores themes of ambiguity and duality\, central to the artist’s practice. It exemplifies a dialogue between visual language and sartorial craft. \nThe language of Sculture Vestite in a shoe\nThe piece is made with embossed fabric and three-dimensional surfaces\, in the full style of Sculture Vestite.\nThe shoe features asymmetric lines and the Maliumbas© motif\, a signature of Bressani. It is sponsored by the Municipality of Vigevano and supported by the Department of Culture. The show is the result of a two-year collaboration between the two creatives\, aimed at producing artisanal women’s shoes that combine three-dimensional design with innovative materials\, highlighting the tradition and excellence of Made in Italy.     \n\nThe Skultoshoes: art\, fashion\, and innovation\nThe Skultoshoes are created using the patented Maliumbas fabric\, developed by Bressani together with Italian Converter\, a leading company in luxury textiles. These shoes are distinguished by clean lines\, high heels\, and platforms\, with a three-dimensional effect achieved through embossing\, giving the fabrics a unique tactile appearance.    \nTechnique and comfort\nBressani defines this collection as tangible proof of the strong bond between art and fashion—two worlds that influence and enrich each other. The Skultoshoes are therefore not only works of art to admire but also wearable shoes.    \nAmong the exhibited pieces\, a male model created in collaboration with Vigevano-based Moreschi stands out. This shoe combines the company’s refined design with Maliumbas Velvet\, a symbol of elegance and innovation.  \nRecognition and permanent collection\nThe Department of Culture\, represented by Daniela Del Frate\, emphasized the exhibition’s importance. It enhances Vigevano as the world capital of footwear\, a city proud of its artisanal history. The Sforza Castle\, with its Second Stables\, provides the ideal setting for an event that unites culture\, art\, and enterprise.   \nA key moment was the inclusion of the first Skultoshoes prototype\, SK SH 0001\, in the permanent collection of the P. Bertolini Shoe Museum. Made with laminated metallic orange Maliumbas fabric\, this shoe marks the beginning of a new era in footwear art. Textile innovation and aesthetic research thus become a unique and captivating expressive language.
